About Dr Bruce Lim

Bruce is originally from Malaysia and studied medicine at Monash University. He speaks English, Malay, and Mandarin and understands Cantonese. 


Bruce is an accredited skin cancer doctor and proficient in all surgical skin cancer treatments, including flaps and grafts. His skin cancer qualifications are as follows:



  • MBBS (hons), FRACGP,
  • Fellowship of the Australian Institute of Dermatology
  • Advanced clinical certificate of dermoscopy
  • Advanced clinical certificate of skin cancer medicine and surgery
  • He has also attended advanced skin cancer surgery workshops

About Dr Gaochao (Arthas) Chu

Dr. Chu graduated with Honours from Monash University in 2014 before undertaking his internship and early medical training. He then moved to the United Kingdom, where he worked at Cambridge NHS Trust and passed exams to acquire the membership of the Royal College of Surgeons. Upon returning to Australia, Dr. Chu gained extensive surgical experience at St Vincent’s Health, the Royal Children’s Hospital, and Eastern Health. He acquired further experience in skin cancer surgery during his residency at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, working within its melanoma and skin surgical service. During this time, he also earned a Diploma of Surgical Anatomy with Distinction from the University of Melbourne and contributed as an anatomy demonstrator.


Dr. Chu completed his GP training in South Gippsland in 2022, obtaining the Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). He then pursued advanced training in dermoscopy and skin cancer surgery, becoming an accredited skin cancer specialist through the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.

Dr. Chu specialises in the surgical and non-surgical management of cutaneous oncology, with a particular focus on complex skin cancer surgery, including margin control techniques and reconstructive procedures under local anaesthesia. His approach prioritises optimal cancer clearance, functional integrity, and aesthetic outcomes for his patients.


He is an active member of the Skin Cancer College Australasia and an associate member of the British Society for Dermatological Surgery.

About Dr Emily Cui

After graduating from Monash University, Emily worked in Box Hill, Maroondah, Monash, and Dandenong Hospital, with experience in various surgical specialities.



She completed her GP training in South Gippsland, and she is a RACGP fellow with special interests in skin cancer surgery, including grafts and flaps. In her spare time, Emily enjoys travelling and exercising.

About Dr Thomas Solano

Dr Tom Solano is an experienced Skin Cancer GP with a strong background in Rural Medicine. Originally from Queensland, he is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and holds an Advanced Rural Generalist Fellowship (FARGP). He has always had a passion for providing high quality, compassionate care in regional communities, evidenced by having worked in outback Queensland, regional Victoria and overseas in places such as Papua New Guinea.

 

Dr Solano completed a Master of Medicine (Skin Cancer) though the University of Queensland and has had the opportunity to work alongside Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons, building a strong foundation in both surgical and non-surgical skin cancer management. He works regularly in operating theatres and has specialist training in anaesthesia having completed the JCCA program. Dr Solano spends one day a week working as a anaesthetist at Bass Coast Health.

Dr Solano cares deeply about making his patients feel comfortable, heard and genuinely cared for. His aim is to create a relaxed, reassuring environment for skin checks and always tailor treatment options to each individual’s needs- whether surgical or non-surgical.

 

Away from the clinic, Dr Tom enjoys getting outdoors, running, and exploring Gippsland with his young family.
